Program(s) affected: T1 Document created: April 1, 2005
Tax year(s): 2004 Document last modified: April 8, 2005
Version(s): 8.21 Problem status: Fixed in v8.22

Why is the Quebec AMT calculation inaccurate on form TP-776.42?

When a Quebec business carries less than 100% of its activities in Quebec, the wrong amount is transferred to line 51 on page 2 of the TP-776.42 because DT Max uses the amount from line 30 instead of the amount from line 32.

As a workaround, use the keyword Override with the option Quebec TP-776.42 line 30 and enter "0" if your client should not be subject to AMT according to the form.

If the AMT should apply, please contact the DT Tax and Accounting support group.
